Correct a clock time

Managers can fix a member's clock-in or clock-out — for example a shift that was auto-closed at the 12-hour cap.

Updated 16 July 2026

If someone forgets to clock out, Kuvi auto-closes their session at the maximum shift length (12 hours by default) so no day is left open with no hours. When that time isn't right, a manager with the Manage attendance permission can correct the record.

Fix a record

  1. Open Reports → Attendance and click the member.
  2. Find the day and click Edit on that row.
  3. Set the correct clock-in and clock-out times (shown in your organisation's timezone), add a short reason, and Save changes.

Kuvi recomputes the hours worked, the half-day flag and the late flag from your work-hours settings. To reopen a day (mark the member as still clocked in), clear the clock-out time.

What gets recorded

  • The Auto-closed marker is cleared — the day now reads as a human correction.
  • The record shows an Edited tag, and the change is stamped with who edited it and when, plus your reason, for a clean audit trail.
  • The correction flows straight into the attendance report and the Excel export.

Corrections feed payroll too. If a member's hours change for a month you've already run, delete that payroll run and run it again to pick up the new figures.
