What is Key Docker?
Kuvi's built-in credential vault — what it protects and how it keeps secrets safe.
Updated 16 June 2026
Every project has a dozen logins — servers, payment gateways, client portals — and they usually end up pasted into chat, spreadsheets or someone's memory. Key Docker is Kuvi's encrypted vault that keeps them in one place, where access is granted, not guessed.
How your secrets are protected
Every credential is sealed with authenticated AES-256-GCM encryption before it ever touches the database. Nobody — not even an admin browsing the table — can read a stored password in the clear.
What you can do
- Store credentials securely, organised by project.
- Share them with teammates through a request-and-approve workflow instead of chat — on paid plans.
- Audit every reveal, edit and rotation, so you always know who saw what — on paid plans.
Key Docker is free on every plan with a 5-key personal vault. Team sharing and audit history unlock on Starter and above.
