Record Product Income

Log SaaS or product income that doesn't come from a Kuvi invoice, and feed it into the Product side of your P&L.

Updated 28 June 2026

Not all income arrives as a Kuvi invoice. Recurring SaaS subscriptions collected through a payment gateway, one-off product sales and similar revenue can be recorded by hand so they count toward your Product totals.

Record income manually

  1. In Accounting, click Record income.
  2. Keep the Enter manually tab selected.
  3. Enter the amount in rupees.
  4. Pick the product this income belongs to, or leave it as General product income if it isn't tied to a specific product.
  5. Add the source / gateway (for example, Razorpay) if you like.
  6. Set the period start, and a period end if it covers a range (such as a full month).
  7. (Optional) Add a note, like "May subscriptions".
  8. Click Record income.

The period is required so the income lands in the right month of your reports.

Where it shows up

Recorded income is treated as Product revenue. It feeds:

  • The subscription income column of Revenue by Product, against the product you chose (or as unassigned income if you didn't pick one).
  • The Product segment of your Financial P&L, alongside any invoices billed against product projects.

For recurring revenue, record one entry per period (per month, say) rather than one big lump, so it lines up cleanly with the rest of your reporting.

If you collect through a payment gateway, you can skip the manual entry and upload the gateway's report instead. See Import a sales report.
